What's the better HP Laptop from the list below, Can you please help me?

I know a TON about what a Laptop should be.

The CPU and The GPU

The Rest is very easy to judge. RAM, HD Space, Screen Size, USB 3.0, Solid State HD is not important, and neither is Real 3D Graphics.

Here's my problem, and question in more vivid detail.

$1,397.95

HP EliteBook 8540w XT904UT 15.6" LED Notebook - Core i7 i7-640m 2.8GHz to 3.46Ghz

With a nVIDIA Quadro FX 880M w/Specs 1024 MB, DirectX 10.1, Shader 4.1, 40 nm GPU

vs.

$1,178.95

HP EliteBook 8540w XT904UT 15.6" LED Notebook - Core i5-560m 2.66Ghz to 3.20Ghz

With an ATI FirePro M5800 w/Specs 1024MB, DirectX 11, Shader 5.0, 40nm GPU

vs.

$1,746.95

HP EliteBook 8740w XT908UT 17" LED Notebook - Core i5 i5-560M 2.66GHz to 3.20Ghz

With an ATI FirePro M7820 w/Specs 1024MB, DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.0, 40nm GPU

My Real Problem is determining if I should go for the CPU Performance, or the GPU Performance.

They are all very nice laptops, I'd be happy with the i5 ones.

I understand that the i5 ones have DirectX 11, which is best for gaming, but I just can't make up my mind which one is best for getting for getting stuff done, and created.

What will I use these Laptops for, you might ask.

1. DVD Creation

2. Adobe Ae CS3+

3. Adobe Photoshop CS3+

4. Rendering and or Encoding Videos to other formats.

5. 3D Animation.

6. Visual Studio 2008

7. Black Ops, PC Game

8. PS2 %26amp; X BOX Emulation

9. Total War, PC Game

10. Dragon Age Origins 2, PC Game

Other than that, YouTube Video Tutorials, Online Research, and Learning Stuff. ect. ect.

NVIDIA is very good GPU Hardware, Do you agree.

All of those are Workstation GPUs and not really meant for gaming. For that price you could be getting a solid video chip + a Sandy Bridge quad i7 mobile CPU
